Marquis Who's Who Honors Danny Demis Cordova for Management Expertise

UNIONDALE, NY / ACCESS Newswire / November 12, 2025 / Marquis Who's Who honors Danny Demis Cordova for his expertise in management as the owner of The Original Chubby's Burger Drive-In. With more than 15 years of experience in his current role, Mr. Cordova strives to support his parents' legacy by maintaining long-term business operations. By continuing this community fixture, he aims to create a lasting, positive impact.

The Beginnings of a Family Legacy

Before Mr. Cordova was born, his mother landed a job at The Original Chubby's Burger Drive-In in 1967. As the story goes, she entered the restaurant and found that the owner was not doing well. He asked if she wanted to take over his business and she accepted. Paying about $2,500 to purchase the business, Mr. Cordova's mother began running The Original Chubby's Burger Drive-In.

Early Involvement in the Business

When Mr. Cordova was about 10 years old, his parents' business started to grow. Though he had been involved in the business for most of his life, Mr. Cordova did not officially begin working in the restaurant until he was 12. During this time, his family saw significant success, but simultaneously became busy with the demanding responsibilities of management.

Mr. Cordova's mother passed away in 2009, after reaching the age of 100. Though he felt her loss deeply, he also recognized that the business needed his attention. The Original Chubby's Burger Drive-In had grown, but the demands of that growth led to certain areas of neglect. The old building needed to be replaced, and the parking lot redone. Under his leadership, the restaurant was restored.

Restoring The Original Chubby's Burger Drive-In

Mr. Cordova rebuilt The Original Chubby's Burger Drive-In in the corner of the property, created a parking area in the front and added new indoor and outdoor dining patios for the restaurant. Today, he oversees the continued growth of The Original Chubby's Burger Drive-In, as well as 40-45 employees. His goal is simple: to keep people happy and help his community.

Civic Involvement and Notable Awards

In addition to his professional career, Mr. Cordova is an active participant in several civic organizations. Most notably, he is a donor to Feed The Hungry and a part of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. These contributions reflect his desire to support the members of his community, just as they support the long-term success of his restaurant and its legacy.

For his contributions in business and community, Mr. Cordova has received several awards and accolades. He has been featured in Insight Slip magazine and acknowledged as a Marquis Who's Who Top Professional. He also received the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award in 2021. Despite these achievements, he continues to value his parents' ongoing legacy above all else.

Plans for the Future

Moving forward, Mr. Cordova aims to help The Original Chubby's Burger Drive-In succeed and endure for generations to come. By maintaining this business's operations, he hopes to honor his parents' legacy, support his local community and continue to build a successful career of his own.
